Well-known Czech painter, printmaker, and book illustrator; the themes of his works – which are figurative, mostly thoughtful, and sometimes darkly melancholic – are people, often children, his urban environment, and apocalyptical scenes inspired, for example, by sci-fi films, comics, or literature.
