1984-1991 studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts Prague (AVU); 1994-1995 professor at the Secondary School of Graphic Arts (sušg) in Jihlava; from 1995 specialist assistant to Jitká Svobodová in the drawing studio at the AVU in Prague; now head of that studio. Numerous solo exhibitions, including 2013 in the Rudolfinum, 2015 in Kolín, and 2018 in the Trade Fair Palace of the National Gallery Prague. One of the prime representatives of Czech contemporary painting; since the 1990s, intensive, sometimes ironically grotesque artistic preoccupation with the phenomenon of the human being, his environment, and the meaning of life, particularly with physical and mental suffering and anxiety.
