The museum's collection includes a variety of representations of femininity. Through 29 mythological and religious figures, ancestral depictions, pieces of jewelry as well as symbols, we show different forms of femininity. They reveal histories of resistance, oppression, and protection. They illustrate how notions of femininity depend on historical and social structures as well as belief systems.
