Amateur researchers and archaeologists in North America collect such flaked projectile points to this day in order to gain insight into the settlement and migration patterns of pre-colonial America.
This object came to Dresden in 1981 as part of the GDR’s museum profiling after Museum Burg Mylau and Heimatmuseum Reichenbach/Vogtland had offered to hand over their ethnographic objects. Due to a lack of documentation, we could not yet determine exactly the origin and the circumstances of acquisition of this object.
