This wool cloth was made around 1960 in the eastern Anti-Atlas region by a woman from the Aït Atta community. The cloth served as a kind of guestbook for participants at a wedding. The bride, who also crafted the cloth, prepared it with a grid. On the wedding day, each family head among the invited guests left their fingerprint in one of the fields using henna dye. This print served as evidence of their attendance and, if necessary, could be used to call upon them as witnesses later. The bride kept the cloth until it was sold to Annette Korolnik-Andersch and Marcel Korolnik.
