Not only did the design of interiors and everyday objects become "classical-antique", but so did women´s dresses and jewellery. Take a look at the small painting in the display case, a copy of the famous portrait of Juliette Récamier by the painter François Gérard and an exemplary representation of the bourgeois fashion of the time. Women now wore pleats that fell without any artificial support and loose, high-belted, shirt-like garments with short sleeves.

Consider also the golden earrings in the shape of vases with filigree decoration as an example of jewellery echoing antiquity. The interplay between light delicate robes and shiny metallic surfaces of gold corresponded to the new bourgeois self-confidence.

In the other drawers you will find several fabric fragments with rich appliqué embroidery showing exemplary neo-classicist decorations.
