It is particularly gratifying that it was possible to identify the two original window pier tables and, after careful restoration, to return them to their original place. As a sketch from the time the rooms were built shows, the two tables were designed and manufactured precisely for this function and location. The sections now overlaid with greenish-grey paint originally showed a red background with greyish-silver, white and also orange splashes of colour. The frames of the mirrors and a sample area on one of the table legs give us an idea of the original colour concept. The mirrors and the table were intended to go together and were designed accordingly. In the next room, also look out for this design symbiosis of original interior and furnishings in the example of the original window pier table and the mirror frames!
