Since we have entered the rooms today from exactly the opposite direction than the one used during the monarchs' meeting in 1791, we find ourselves in the former antechamber at the end of this tour. This room had painted wall decorations in its original configuration. Investigations have shown that, just as in the study, it was painting intended to create the illusion of an architectural division. The exhibition now offers a glimpse of neo-classicism after the period of neo-classicism.
