From the book “The Consolation of Objects“:

I took the tightrope walker in this vitrine from that very “surname” (special publication form) and placed it in the composition; the Chinese dog comes from the Dresden porcelain collection, while—inspired by Joannes Fijts and Erasmus Quellinus’s painting “Boy and Dwarf with a Dog”—I had the white Western dog made by the talented woman artist Başak Bugay. In order not to fall into the depths between the different views of art of the West and the East represented by two dogs, the tightrope walker with a pole called ROMAN ART must keep his balance and constantly walk back and forth between the two worlds. This is my conception of art and literature!
