A minimalist steel construction marks a space in which chains and leather elements are suspended. The swing could be used as a seat and, considering the materials used, it also hints at sexual fetishes. Above all, however, it enters the sketched architecture into a relationship with the human body. In doing so, the work touches on a recurring theme in Bonvicini’s oeuvre: the understanding of design and architecture as powerful agents of control that determine both the public and the private space and thus define ways of moving around in it. By assigning "Pavilion" its dimensions, Bonvicini refers to the architect Le Corbusier, who created standardized dimensions for living spaces. Bonvicini thus addresses the relationship between communal and individual wellbeing.
