Compared to the two other Dresden Pendule aux biches groups (Track 6203), this ensemble differs in several key aspects. Differences can be seen in the materials used for its construction. At the same time, the marquetry also diverge significantly in some details. The sum of the differences strongly suggests another workshop. Several indications suggest that Bernard I van Risamburgh (BVRB I, 1670–1738), who is considered to be the author and inventor of the Pendule aux biches model due to the mention of the corresponding cast models in his death inventory, could also be the creator of this ensemble. An important indication is the use of walnut as the construction wood. The deliberate use of walnut as a blind wood can be seen on several pieces of furniture by Bernard I van Risamburgh. For Latz, this is atypical based on the objects attributed to him so far and in view of the woods mentioned in his workshop's death inventory. His preferred construction materials were oak and softwood.
