Amphora. Herakles and Cycnus
Immediately after shooting an arrow, Heracles also prepares to strike with his club. However, the matter is already settled: the back of the amphora shows that the Thessalian bandit Cycnus, who had challenged Heracles to a duel, has already been fatally wounded by the arrow and has collapsed.
