The animal ears show this boy to be a satyr, his hair adorned with a ribbon as well as a twig with ivy berries. In a sweeping gesture, he is performing an action that, based on Attic reliefs, can be interpreted as pouring liquid from a jug. In the Dresden copies, the jug held in his right hand was apparently not included. Or can you discern a jug handle in his right hand?
